Is Gran Turismo 5 Any Good? (Video)

After 6 long years since the last Gran Turismo game was released, Gran Turismo 5 has finally hit the shelves!

The PS3 exclusive, world-wide release came on November 24th 2010.

With over 1000 fully licensed cars and 26 different racing locations (70 layouts) to choose from, the latest release of the world’s most popular driving simulator game is bound to please!

For a full review, watch the video I grabbed from IGN…

The graphics and game play looks freaking great, but I agree that not being able to smash up your car and see the damage is a bit of a let-down.

There’s nothing like the fun of destroying a perfectly good car like you can in GRID etc. But for a realistic, racing simulator with graphics to die for, you can’t go past Gran Turismo 5.

Gran Turismo 5 is selling on Amazon.com for $54.99. It sure would make a great Christmas present for your loved one(s)… (hint, hint)

  1. Realistic Physical and Mechanical Damage for "Premium" Cars must be Unlocked by reaching A-Spec or B-Spec Lvl-30, "Standard" Cars have Damage but not anything you can call "realistic"…..& I agree, that is a let down πŸ™

However (Damage aside) there is huge potential in GT5 for Drifting as there are some really cool and rare cars that can be converted to Drift. For example, I have a 80's Volvo 240 Wagon & 60's VW Samababus that I have tricked out to Drift πŸ˜‰
